2017 Update
Dominique has been on a long and lonely journey seeking truth for over a decade with being only of the most vocal leading voices on the topic of abuse in gymnastics. It required many sacrifices to stand alone for many years on the subject (until recently). “Although at times a very lonely journey I always knew what I was doing was the right thing, I just wish many more folks saw it sooner. However, everything is now out in the open, and it has been fulfilling to be a part of a change in all youth sports for many years to come. Future generations of children will be much safer in sports due to the passing of the new legislation.”
On March 28, 2017, Dominique testified, with fellow gymnasts, in front of the United States Senate to help pass new legislation. On November 14, 2017, the United States Senate passed the legislative bill with bipartisan support..
