Gymnastics Classes Offered

  • Ages 12 - 24 months

    This 40-minute co-ed instructional class is designed for a parent and tyke to enjoy together. A parent is required to assist their child throughout the class. The focus is on developing gross motor skills through movement, balance, and exploration using our recreational gymnastics equipment.

  • Ages 2 - 3 years

    This 45-minute co-ed instructional class is designed for a parent and their tot, with parental assistance required. The focus is on developing gross motor skills through movement and balance. As children approach their 3rd birthday, parents will transition to being less hands-on to prepare their child for independence in the Sunshines class. Children will use recreational gymnastics equipment to build confidence and skills.

  • Ages 3.5 - 4.5 years

    This 55-minute co-ed instructional class is designed for children to develop awareness, coordination, and basic gymnastics skills without parental assistance. This is a structured class focused on vaults, bars, beams, floor, and tumble track while fostering independence and confidence. Children must be potty trained.

  • Ages 4.5 - 5.5 years

    This 55-minute co-ed class meets once a week and focuses on introducing preschoolers to entry-level gymnastics skills and big equipment, including vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble track, and trampoline (Euro Tramp). Students will also learn basic gymnastics terminology. Beginner skills taught include a squat on for vault, a chin-up pullover on bars, walks on the high beam, and rolls, cartwheels, and handstands on floor.

  • Ages 4 - 6 years, by invitation only

    This advanced, pre-team development class meets twice a week for two hours per session. It is designed to challenge students who exceed class expectations and show advanced skill development. Gymnasts will focus on foundational techniques, strength, flexibility, and precision to prepare them for future competitive levels.

  • Ages 7 - 9 years

    This pre-team development class meets twice weekly for two hours per session. It is designed for recreational gymnasts ages 7-9 who are building the skills, strength, and conditioning necessary to prepare for the competitive DMGC Team. Most gymnasts spend one year in Pre-Team before being eligible to try out for the DMGC Team.

  • Ages 5+

    This 60-minute girls-only class meets once a week and introduces students to entry-level gymnastics skills on all apparatus, including vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble track, and trampoline (Euro Tramp). Gymnasts will also learn basic gymnastics terminology. Skills include a squat on for vault, a chin-up pullover on bars, walks on the high beam, and rolls, cartwheels, and handstands on floor.

  • Ages 6+

    This 90-minute girls-only class continues to build upon skills and terminology introduced in Beginner 1 Prep. Prerequisites are required for enrollment. Gymnasts will work on vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble track, and trampoline (Euro Tramp). Skills taught include a dive roll on vault, a back hip circle on bars, entry-level high beam skills, and round-offs and bridge kick-overs on floor. This class aligns with Level 1 in competitive gymnastics.

  • Ages 6+

    This 120-minute girls-only class meets once or twice a week and focuses on intermediate gymnastics skills. Prerequisites are required for enrollment. Gymnasts will train on vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble track, and trampoline (Euro Tramp). Skills include a handstand flatback on vault, double back hip circles on bars, handstands on the high beam, and back walkovers and front limbers on the floor. This class aligns with Level 2 in competitive gymnastics. Hours/Days: 2 hours per week, or 4 hours per week options

  • Ages 6+

    This 120-minute girls-only class meets twice a week and focuses on advanced gymnastics skills. Prerequisites are required for enrollment. Training includes all gymnastics apparatus: vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble track, and trampoline (Euro Tramp). Skills taught include a front handspring on vault, a squat on and kip on bars, cartwheels on the high beam, and back handsprings and front handsprings on the floor. This class aligns with Level 3 in competitive gymnastics and prepares gymnasts for the Xcel competitive level.

  • 20 hour a week program

    This class is created to perfect existing skills, learn new skills, and work on basic principles of gymnastics to prepare for a high level of gymnastics done cleanly in preparation for higher-level competitive gymnastics and to also work towards collegiate scholarship. This is a unique 20-hour-a-week class with highly dedicated gymnasts with excellent attitudes willing to work hard, make sacrifices, improve their technique/basics/form, and aspire to be the best they can be in the sport at their highest potential. This level is a skill level of 8, 9, 10 only — or a fast track training program for talented gymnasts level 6-8.

    Required practice is five days a week for around 20 hours. In this class, we work on developing skills for the high school and collegiate gymnastics programs. If you’d like to improve your skills to compete at the higher levels one day, this class is excellent. “In-house” competitions will typically take place in November. Dominique Moceanu coaches this class full-time with dedicated lesson plans and daily structure. 

    Spending time in the developmental phase is critical in creating the best gymnast possible. In this class, we focus on the full-rounded development of your children. This 20-hour-a-week program includes 17 hours of gymnastics time, a power yoga class taught by Dominique, a restorative yin yoga class with another yoga instructor, plus a one-hour dance class once a week. This program is by invitation only.

  • This class is a part of our competitive program and trains about 9 hours per week.

  • This class is a part of our competitive program and trains about 12 hours per week.

  • Ages 6+, co-ed

    This class is designed to help the students with their fitness levels, coordination, strength/conditioning, and agility.  All events include Floor, Beam, Bars, Vault, Rings, Pommel Horse, Parallel Bars, Tumble Track, and Trampoline.  The equipment will be used in fun and unconventional ways to challenge the student's physical abilities.  This class will also incorporate elements of obstacle courses, Ninja style courses, Parkour, challenges, and games.  Fitness, Flips, and Fun is recommended as an add-on to your current Recreational class, as the students will gain strength and abilities to help them reach their gymnastics goals.

Tumbling Classes

Beginner Tumbling: We will continue to focus on the perfection of level 1 skills and also focus on cartwheel variations, handstands, round-offs, crabwalks (Backbend), and an introduction to front/back limbers, working up to back handsprings!

Tumbling classes are 60-minute coed classes that focus only on tumbling skills. Students will utilize the trampoline/tumble track to advance their skills. Tumbling classes are ideal for cheerleaders, gymnasts, and youth who want to focus on tumbling progression and improve their current technique.  

Tumbling II continues to focus on perfecting Tumbling II skills, with additional focus on standing backbends, front/back limbers and walkovers, round-offs, handstands and tick-tocks, and an introduction to front/back limbers—connections to round-off back handsprings and starting back tucks.

Tumbling classes are 60-minute coed classes that focus only on tumbling skills. Students advance their skills by using the trampoline/tumble track. Tumbling classes are ideal for cheerleaders, gymnasts, and youth who want to focus on tumbling progression and improve upon current techniques. 

Advanced Tumbling: continues to focus on improving current skills with an additional focus on progression. Tumbling classes are 60-minute coed classes that focus only on tumbling skills. Students advance their skills by using the trampoline/tumble track. Tumbling classes are ideal for cheerleaders, gymnasts, and youth who want to focus on tumbling progression and improve upon current techniques.
