Instructional Gymnastics Classes Offered
Tiny Tykes: (Ages 18 mo-2 years) This instructional 45 minute coed class is designed for a parent and tot. This class requires a parent to assist. We’ll be working on developing gross motor skills through movement and balance. Children will be using our recreational gymnastics equipment.
Tiny Tots: (Ages 2-3 years) This instructional 45 minute coed class is designed for parents to be on “stand-by” and near the gym floor, as we begin to transition our tots to attending class independently. Children will begin to develop gross motor skills under direction of their lead coach and utilizing our recreational gymnastics equipment.
Sunshines: (Ages 3) This instructional 55 minute coed class is designed for children to work specifically on gymnastics skills by developing awareness and coordination without the assistance of parents. Children must be potty trained.
SuperStars: (Ages 4-5) This instructional 55 minute coed class is for children to work on vault, bars, beam, and floor. They will become more familiar with the positions and terms associated with gymnastics.
Beginner Gymnastics I: Equivalent to Level 1 – An entry level class teaching basic principles of gymnastics. This Beginner I class practices up to one hour and five minutes to three hours a week if they choose to take additional classes. An additional tumbling class a week is advised as well as a kid’s yoga class once a week for optimal development. This is simply a suggestion, and optional.
Beginner Gymnastics II: Equivalent to Level 2 – Beginning level gymnastics. In this level we are working on skill progressions with mini routine development. This Beginner II class practices up to three hours per week (if they take a bundle class offering) of regular gymnastics classes. An additional tumbling and gymnastics class a week is advised as well as a kid’s yoga class once a week for optimal development. These suggestions are optional, however.
Beginner Gymnastics III (TEAM): Equivalent to Level 3 - Practice is suggested to be four days a week (with bundle option) for around 10 hours per week. In this level, we will continue to work on skill level progressions and routine development. Team introduction and dance and yoga included.
Beginner Gymnastics IV (TEAM): Equivalent to Level 4/5 - Practice is suggested to be four days a week (with bundle option) for around 12 hours per week (could be more hours if they take an a la carte additional class. In this level, we will continue to work on skill level progressions and mini routine development. An additional tumbling class a week is advised as well as 1st level training team competition with dance and yoga included. (These suggestions are optional, however.)
Beginner Boys I: (Ages 6+) This 65 minute instructional class is for boys to be introduced the basics and trained on all of the apparatuses which include: floor exercise, pommel horse, p-bars, high bar, mushroom, rings, and trampoline. (90 min class option available)
Beginner Boys II: (Ages 6+) This 90 minute instructional class for boys will require the passing of Beginner I and our All Stars I continuation class. In this class children will continue to develop their gymnastics skills at a higher level.
Intermediate: (Ages 8+) This 90 minute instructional boys class will be a more advanced class after the Beginner I/II classes are completed with mandatory skills learned. Children will advance to our Intermediate Boys class, and continue to develop their skills at a higher level.
Intermediate Gymnastics (TEAM, Xcel Gold): Equivalent to Level 6 – Practice is suggested to be four days a week for around 16 hours per week. Competitive team with dance and yoga included. Yoga and dance classes are added to the curriculum.
Intermediate Gymnastics II (TEAM): Equivalent to Level 7 / 8 – Practice is suggested to be four days a week for around 16 hours per week. Competitive team with dance and yoga included. Yoga and dance classes are added to the curriculum.
Advanced Gymnastics 20 Hour a week Program: Level 9 / 10 – This class is created to perfect existing skills, learn new skills, work on basic principles of gymnastics, create preparation for high level of gymnastics done cleanly in preparation for high school competitive gymnastics, and also skill work for the collegiate level working towards a scholarship. This is a special 20 hour a week class that has dedicated gymnasts in it with excellent attitudes willing to work hard, dedicate themselves to improving their technique, basics, form and inspire to be the best they can be in the sport at the highest level. This level is a skill level of 8, 9, 10 only.
In this class we work on the development of skills for high school and collegiate gymnastics prep program. If you’d like to improve your skills to compete at the higher levels one day, this is a great class for you. Dominique Moceanu coaches this class. This is a great program for children eyeing high school (at their highest ability possible) competitive gymnastics and have their dreams focused on getting a college scholarship.
Spending time in the developmental phase is critical in creating the overall best gymnast possible. In this class we focus on the full-rounded development of your children. In this 20 hour a week program, we include 17 hours of gymnastics time, a power yoga class taught by Dominique, a restorative yoga class and a dance class once a week. This program is by invitation only. Qualifications for the class include, but are not limited to, an outstanding attitude ready and willing to learn, showing the utmost dedication, and a promising work ethic. Prior to booking this class online, please make sure to contact our office for appropriate placement.
Beginner Tumbling I: (Ages 6+) This 60 minute coed instructional class is strictly for children who only want to learn tumbling skills. No instruction on apparatuses (vault, bars, beam). There will be appropriate skill work on the trampoline to improve and advance tumbling technique.
Beginner Tumbling II: (Ages 8+) This 60 minute coed instructional class is strictly for children who only want to learn tumbling skills. No instruction on apparatuses (vault, bars, beam). There will be appropriate skill work on the trampoline to improve and advance tumbling technique.
Cheer Tumbling: (Ages 6+) This 60 minute coed instructional class focuses on tumbling strictly for cheerleaders. We are willing to work on what you need the most. *see other tabs for more details
Intermediate Tumbling: (Ages 6+) This 90 minute coed instructional class is for children who have accomplished beginner tumbling skills and want to move to the next level with emphasis on power tumbling. A back handspring is required for this class.
Adult Gymnastics: Love the sport and want to get back in the gym to do some gymnastics? Join this 18+ class and enjoy all of it’s offerings.
OPEN GYM! (Ages 6-18 years) Join us for our open gym! It’s a fun way to enjoy gymnastics in a fun, safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Generally scheduled on Friday nights from 7:00pm-8:30pm so bring a friend for the fun!
